With Pakistani origin, I got a bachelor’s degree in engineering & computer science (1st position) from Pakistan in 1999. I was a computer science Lecturer at Petroman Training Institute, Pakistan (1999-2001). I joined WAPDA (Water and Power Development Authority) as Assistant Director (programming/system analysis) and stayed there from 2001 till 2007. My responsibilities included training young programmers, managing the development of internal IT projects, and planning IT resources. I completed my MS in Total Quality Management in 2006 (1st position) in Pakistan. I came to France in 2007 and completed my MPhil in Industrial Engineering specialty information system from Grenoble-INP (with 1st position).

I completed Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering specialty information system (2008-2011), for flexible restructuring of data warehouses, at STMicroelectronics in collaboration with G-SCOP lab. I was hired as Assistant Professor at Industrial Engineering school, Grenoble-INP in 2012 where I taught MIS, project management, quality management, production planning, etc. Moreover, I hold MCSE, MCDBA, MCSD, and MCP+I certifications in 2000. I also completed advanced training in Big Data, design of experiments, data modeling and analysis, and internet of things from MIT Cambridge USA in 2011, 2014 & 2016. I also completed green belt training in DFSS (design for six-sigma) from Holland in 2011 as well. I qualified as a certified Sustainability Manager (LeadSUS) from ECQA, Europe in 2015.

I worked as a principal research coordinator in the “INTEGRATE” European project on developing equipment usage optimization and engineering data management solutions using probabilistic and ontology approaches. At present, I work as a senior research scientist at INSA de Lyon, France for spare parts demand forecasting and inventory control. I co-supervised 1 Ph.D., supported 3 Ph.D., supervised 11 internships 1A, 2A, PFE, and MPhil, and acted as a jury member in 2 PhDs at Grenoble INP.
